Manisha H. Bhatt has been a staff attorney with the Family Law Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) since 2001. She has several years of direct experience providing legal services to people with limited income. She represents victims of domestic violence and staffs the GBLS Domestic Violence Project at Suffolk Probate Court. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Bhatt was in private practice for two years, specializing in civil litigation. As a law student, she participated in the Suffolk Volunteer Defenders, interned with the Boston Medical Center, and volunteered as a Rule 3.03 student attorney with GBLS. Ms. Bhatt has been involved with a number of civic/charitable organizations, including the Asian-Pacific American Law Students Association, Latin American Law Students Association, Indian Students Association, the Samaritans, and served as the Circle K Fundraising Chairperson. Ms. Bhatt is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, and Gujarati. She received her B.A. in History and Spanish from Boston College in 1995 and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1999.
